Indian Premier League will start from April 1, 2018. The impending auctions for the 11th season of IPL 2018 are going on in Bangalore. All the franchise will bid to gain their favorite player in their bowl. All the teams had already announced their list of retained players for this IPL season on Jan 4. There are total 8 teams for this season. 4 out of 8 teams retained their 3 players on each side which has already made this a fantastic season; a total of 578 players will go under the hammer for IPL 2018 in which 360 Indian players are being shortlisted. Some big names like Ben Stokes, Brendon Mccullum, Yuvraj Singh, and Gautam Gambhir are going under the hammer this year.

Ben Stokes was the highest player for this season

No doubt, IPL is a lucrative tournament. But this 11th IPL season is going to be awe-inspiring. The auction is giving us astonishing moments. So here are the highlights of sold and unsold player list for DAY-2 Auctions.

The first hefty buy of day 2 was Krishappa Gowtham who was sold for massive 6.2 crores to Rajasthan Royals snatching from the hands of Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Mumbai Indians.

Jaydev Unadkat was in great demand as both teams Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings were going after him which led the bidding price rose to 11 crores, Rajasthan Royals swooped in and took him for 11.5 crores. It was the highest pay given to a bowler in IPL history.

IPL’S giant purchase drew an applause as Kings XI Punjab poached Chris Gayle at 2 crores. It was a decent buy though.

They brought their full squad and still 6.2 crores left in the purse. While Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals were putting the bid on every player.
